Diana Pierce is a Twin Cities multimedia journalist/storyteller and her passion is to help others tell their story. She was an anchor for KARE 11 News from 1983 until April 2016. In 2018, she launched “What’s Next? with Diana Pierce,” a live streaming online show that helps baby boomers discover new ideas for pursing their passions and dreams. She’s also a featured speaker for Women in Leadership events.
Her career highlights include:
Talking live with Astronaut Robert Cabana as he was circling the earth in the space shuttle; interviewing Vice President Dan Quayle; and finding out which local pizza place was Meryl Streep’s favorite when she was filming, “Prairie Home Companion.” (Hint: Punch and there is now a Meryl Streep Pizza).
Her career honors include:
A National Merit of Achievement from the National Muscular Dystrophy Association for “ALS: The Joe Dilts story.”
In 2009 – Inducted into the Minnesota Museum of Broadcasting’s Hall of Fame.
In 2017 – Inducted into the Emmy Silver Circle for 25 plus years of “significant contributions to the media industry and community.”
She is an active community volunteer devoting time to the YWCA, Animal Humane Society, and the Diana Pierce Family Mile/Twin Cities in Motion. She has been honored as a JCI-Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotan. She has also been recognized as a Girl Scouts Centennial Trailblazer Honoree.
Diana received her Master of Arts in Leadership from Augsburg University in December 2015. She also has a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
Paul Douglas is the co-host of “Paul and Jordana”, 3:00-6:00 PM Weekdays on WCO Radio. Paul is a nationally respected broadcaster and meteorologist, with 34 years of broadcast television and 36 years of radio experience.
Paul is well known to Minnesota residents as the head meteorologist for KARE-TV and WCCO-TV. He also launched the national weather channel, WeatherNation TV in 2011. Paul provides daily weather for the Star Tribune, the St. Cloud Times, Conservation Minnesota and WeatherNation, and is an author and regular contributor to TPT’s “Almanac.” Paul has launched five weather technology companies during his career, including his current ventures, AerisWeather and Praedictix, based in Eden Prairie. A graduate of Penn State, Paul and his wife Laurie live in Excelsior and have two sons.
